What happens to the details you send us.
This site has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to send through the enquiry form or by email.
Who we are

What we collect
What you enter in the form: your name, company, role, email address, phone number, the site location, the project stage, what you need, any link you paste and your message. Any drawings or photos you attach. The date and time you sent it.
Why we use it
To reply to you, to prepare coverage maps and a proposal for the job, and to keep a record of the enquiry while the project goes ahead. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our work. We do not use your details for marketing and we do not sell or share them, other than with the services below that run the site for us.
Where it is stored
Enquiries and attached drawings are stored in a private storage area with Cloudflare, which also hosts this site. Enquiry notifications and our replies go through our email provider, Google Workspace. Both act on our instructions under their standard data protection terms, and may process data outside the UK with the safeguards those terms provide.
Spam protection
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that it is being sent by a person, not a bot. To block spam, Turnstile checks your browser and IP address. It does not track you across other websites.
How long we keep it
Building a house takes time, and a job can go quiet for months between design, tender and first fix. So we keep enquiries and their drawings for 18 months after you send them, then delete them. If the enquiry becomes a job, the relevant details move into our project records and are kept as long as we need them for that job and our accounts.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it sooner. Email oscar@sustainlive.net and we will reply within a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
