Services / WiFi & Networks
WiFi and networking, planned before it's plastered.
Access point positions and coverage are modelled floor by floor from your drawings, so first fix happens once and in the right place.
We install UniFi WiFi and networks across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex from our bases in Southampton and Haslemere. Ubiquiti UFSP certified. Areas we cover →

What a UniFi WiFi installation includes
Modelled from the drawings
We predict 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz coverage for every floor in the UniFi Design Center before anything is ordered.
WiFi 7
Ceiling, in-wall and outdoor access points chosen room by room.
Fewer sockets
Access points, cameras and door readers take power and data over one cable.
Outbuildings
Garden offices, garages and annexes on the same network, by cable where the groundworks allow or by wireless bridge where they don't.
Separate networks
Family, guests, cameras, doors and smart-home kit each on their own segment, with rules between them.
Wired where it counts
Cat6a outlets for televisions, desks and AV, patched in a tidy rack.
Backbone
1G or 10G
1G
Most housesRight for most houses. Streaming, calls and smart-home kit in every room at once.
10G
Larger housesFor larger houses, home studios and heavy file work, with the fastest WiFi 7 access points on 10G uplinks.

Every floor, every band, before first fix.

Each proposal carries a coverage map like this for every floor at 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, with each access point marked and linked to the switch it connects back to.
Options
- O-015G failover if the broadband drops.
- O-02A rack UPS to ride through short power cuts.
- O-03A 10G upgrade for the access points, priced alongside the 1G system.
Questions builders ask about WiFi
When should we involve you?
Before first fix. Send the GA plans and elevations, as PDF or DWG, and we model the coverage for every floor in the UniFi Design Center. The access point positions and cable routes then go onto your electrician's drawings before the walls are closed.
Who runs the cable?
Your electrician runs the Cat6a and the mains power to our schedule. On each job you choose whether we or your electrician terminate the links and fix the access points. Either way we test and certify every link before the system is configured. How we work
Does every access point need its own cable?
In a new build or a remodel, yes. One Cat6a cable from the rack to each access point carries both data and power, so no socket is needed beside it. In a finished house the access points can link back over WiFi instead, with no drilling. Existing homes
Does the house need 10G?
Most don't. 1G handles streaming, calls and smart-home kit in every room at once. For larger houses, home studios and heavy file work we price 10G alongside the 1G system, so the client can compare.
How is a garden office or garage connected?
By cable where the groundworks allow, or by a UniFi wireless building bridge where they don't. It joins the same network, with the same WiFi name.
What does the client receive?
A written proposal with coverage maps, a rack layout, a priced equipment schedule, a schedule of works, a programme and the payment stages. See a sample proposal
